They talked it over, and after a few minutes came to a conclusion. "I'll drink it," said the right Joanna. "We share the same stomach anyway." But the right seemed a bit reluctant to drink it. "You're hesitating aren't ya," said her left twin after a half-minute wait. "I am not," said the right one. "Don't lie. We're the same, remember? I have a pretty good idea what you're thinking. Why don't I'll drink it." The right, annoyed said, "I can do it!"
With that, she took the potion while her left twin watched. "Well... down the hatch," she said nervously.
She swallowed it. It burned on its way down, and it felt to the both of them like their entire body was on fire. They doubled over, bracing against the counter, and the right Joanna looked up at the old woman in anguish before being overcome by the fire. In time, the pain subsided, and the twins could begin to assess what had happened to them.
