Jon Doll bolted when she saw the door begin to open. Faster than any rag doll should have been able to move, her little cloth feet were padding up the stairs to the second floor. Raggedy Karyn didn't even notice the moving door at first, but she jumped up to when she saw it. She was to be played with! Her cotton heart thumped a little faster.
She heard Jon's wailing cry come as she was halfway up the dollhouse staircase herself.
"The exit button's not here!" The Raggedy Ann doll was panicky; her little form now huddled away from the open double doors to the patio. A giant moved about in the person world, but Karyn paid it little attention now. Instead, she walked over to the doll hiding behind a couch. She jumped over the back and flopped down in the soft cushions.
"What are you so afraid of?" Jon reached his arms up and tried to pull the witch doll down and further out of sight, but didn't reply. "Maybe you're afraid that you might like it."
Jon's cloth eyes flicked to Karyn, "What? Of course not. How could you possibly like being controlled and owned by a person?"
"Hello? Karyn?" A booming voice called.
Karyn shrugged, "You never know unless you try." She flipped back over the couch, easily get out of Jon's plush grasp and started toward the balcony.
"Jon!" The voice gasped, apparently seeing Jon's person body limp as a doll on the floor. "Are you in . . ." The voice wondered.
Raggedy Karyn skipped lightly onto the balcony and waved to the big person, despite Raggedy Jon's protestations. "Hello!" She shouted to . . .
