The doll's swung open the white patio doors and stepped inside the house for the first time. There was a large center area furnished like an entertainment room, with two rooms on the left, two on the right, and stairs going up and down. This room had a very modern feel to it.

"21st century doll." Raggedy Karyn giggled. There was a large flat TV across from them, and a full set of couches and chairs around it. The furniture was bright red, contrasting sharply with pure white walls. A DVD stand sat next to the TV. Karyn walked up to it and found that the DVDs were printed on a sticker. In fact, most of the trim and decoration of the room was stickers.

"This looks better than my room." the other rag doll muttered.

"At least your electronics work." Raggedy Karyn said, peaking into a lamp shade. "Wait, there's a light bulb in here. I wonder . . ." she looked around for a moment and pushed something on the side of the night stand the lamp was on. LED light flooded the room.

"Magic?" Raggedy Jon asked.

"Or a watch battery."

"Right." Jon said, playing with his red yarn braid. "Let's look under all these couches." He roughly pushed one up and bent down to look beneath it. No rock. Karyn rolled her eyes: no mean feat for someone with eyes made of colored thread. She obliged Jon by looking beneath a tiny flower pot and lamp. "Are you going to take this seriously?" the rag toy asked.

"I'm a rag doll and make it a point never to be serious." Raggedy Karyn replied happily.

Jon muttered and kept pushing furniture out of the way. Karyn, though, glanced around the room and was struck by a sticker on the left wall. It looked like a painting of a gorgeous vista with blue sky and green sea. But there was a large brownish rock at its heart. Raggedy Karyn tilted her head. The rock shimmered the same way the wishing stone had.

"Hey, Jon." She said, turning back. He was already stalking to the two doors on the other side of the second floor. He hadn't even set the furniture back into place. The Raggedy Ann toy turned, her mitten hands on her plush waist. Somehow, he had made a rag doll look annoyed and angry.

Raggedy Karyn made a snap decision. "I'll check the rooms on this side. You can check the rooms on that one." She decided not to tell Jon about the stone until he cleaned up his act. And her dollhouse.
