"Ok", Jon started, "Don't forget, I told you this was going to be very hard to pull off"
Sarah nodded, "I know", she replied, "tell me what the problem is, and I can help you figure out how to reverse it"
Jon explained to Sarah the rules of the stone, how wishes could not be reversed once they were made. Sarah didn't understand exactly what was keeping Jon from simply wishing her legs back to the arms and legs they used to be until he explained that the phrasing of his wish was quite explicit in what was to be changed, leaving no room for manoeuvring.
"So that's basically it, I can't change your arms and legs anymore", Jon said, "You're stuck with them"
"But what about your swapping power, you swapped your body with mine and reversed it!" Sarah said.
"My swapping power is not the same as the wishing stone, it was given to me by the stone, but I wished for the ability to reverse it at will", Jon explained.
"So my limbs can change back then", Sarah answered, "Just not by using the stone"
"What do you have in mind?" Jon asked.
"Swap my limbs with someone else", Sarah suggested, "then wish them to be normal, and give me back my limbs again"
"That could work", Jon said surprised, "Wow, you really are smarter then you let on", he commented.
Sarah blushed a little, "I am not the dumb cheerleader that most people make me out to be you know, in the McMillan family empire, you are either smart or disowned. Doesn't give me much leeway"
Jon nodded, "Ah, ok", as if that was explanation enough.
Jon sat there and thought for a moment, he really couldn't argue with he logic, but who was he going to swap the limbs with, and he wasn't even sure if the damned stone would even work like that, he hadn't had a chance to test it and didn't work, whoever he swapped her limbs with would be stuck that way. It really was Sarah's fault that she was like this, but Jon couldn't help but feel guilty about it.
Jon raised his index finger at Sarah, "Give me those limbs", he said.
In a flash, his male body now sported four new golden coloured legs, while Sarah had hairy masculine arms and legs sticking out of her body.
She was sitting on the bed, looking intently at Jon, not realized that anything had changed, the swapping power had kept her from noticing Jon swapping limbs with her.
"Ok", Jon said, "I've got an idea"
"Let's hear it", Sarah replied eagerly.
"I'll loan you my arms and legs", Jon said.
Sarah looked at Jon, up and down, "What?"
"It's that simple, I'll loan you my limbs, and I'll take your human ones"
"Wow?" Sarah asked, "You'd do that for me?"
"Yea, why not?" Jon replied, silently smirking to himself, "They do match your hair after all, not to mention legs are legs from a dog point of view"
Sarah gave one more look up and down Jon's body, "You're right, they look just like my old ones!" Sarah said.
"Alrighty then", Jon replied, looking at Sarah.
Making sure he wasn't going to hurt himself by doing something stupid all of a sudden, Jon sat down on the floor, almost on all fours, Sarah hopped off the bed and did the same. Jon pointed his ring finger at Sarah and spoke, "Give me those limbs"
In an instant, Jon's paw completely changed, no longer the hairy blonde limbs he "sneak swapped" from Sarah a moment ago, but his regular old hand. At the same time, Sarah found that her limbs were doggy again; she stood up on all fours in surprise and looked herself over, turning in circles, looking herself over
"Thanks you Jon", she said excitedly, before jumping up into his arms and planting a kiss on his lips, "Thank you so much for doing this!"
Jon returned the kiss, blushing the whole while; Jon released Sarah and let her hop to the floor on all fours, something she had gotten used to the other day.
Jon just watched Sarah checking herself out, as if it was the first time she had ever done so, "At least my little treasure trove is still enhanced", she said wistfully, "I can't thank you enough for doing this Jon"
"My pleasure", Jon replied.
He watched as Sarah left his room with what were STILL her original dog legs, passing Zoe in the hallway.
At least that's sorted now, I wonder if she'll ever figure it out? Jon thought to himself.
