Zoe was the last to arrive at their regular spot; Athena and Zelda were waiting for her already. Their "secret meeting place" had been in the park for as long as the park had been around, the plants that existed here had created a sort of enclosed area that could be reached by going through natural paths in the shrubs around it. The large trees that framed the area formed a canopy, preventing complete sunlight from getting into the area. Zoe and Zelda used to laugh at how it looked like a "secret grove" in a forest, from inside the meeting place.
Zoe crouched on all fours, which wasn't easy considering how much her panties were already crushing her cock, and climbed through the shrubbery, gently pushing some of the newer branches out of her path as she crawled. Because the path wasn't often used, smaller shrubs and newer plant growth sometimes overtook the path to the grove, which was a good thing considering that they didn't exactly want to encourage people to drop in on them.
Thankfully, that little aspect had also kept undesirables from using the place for shooting drugs, or burying murder victims. But Zoe figured that it was really only a matter of time before something like that happened and they'd have to abandon the place.
Zoe pushed through the scrubs and other plants as she made her way through the path to the clearing. Zoe reached the end of the path and stood up, finding that Athena and Zelda were already waiting for her there. Long ago, Zoe and Zelda had put a stack of large rocks they found into a ring like position around a central section, almost like a campfire with logs around it. AT the moment Athena was kneeled over a book in the centre of the rock formation, Zelda was sitting impatiently on one of the rocks.
Athena looked up from her book, "It's about time you got here. We were wondering if you were going to show up"
Zoe sighed and sat down, trying to straighten her skirt for the umpteenth time since she got to the park, "I got held up; Jon and Karyn were doing something stupid"
"Again?" Athena asked, Zelda just sat there.
Zoe shrugged, she finished preening and looked at what Athena was doing, she had various items and trinkets spilled out over her book from a small bag nearby, Zoe had been told the relevance of each of them to what Athena was attempting to do, many times, but it still didn't really stick, they really were just rocks to her, some of them precious stones, but still just a collection of rocks. She couldn't figure out what was so significant about them. Then again, she could never figure out how people could supposedly base their lives on the mathematical position of planets and star constellations either.
"Ok, so are you ready for this?" Athena asked, Zoe and Zelda nodded.
"Alrighty, well one of the things we have to do is clear your aura of any negative spells or curses that may already be upon you", Athena explained, Zoe and Zelda were slightly confused, "Well, it's only to keep you from having any unexpected side effects when you try to cast a magic charm"
Zelda leaned over to Zoe, "Sounds like something out of Warcraft or Harry Potter", she whispered.
Athena's head snapped up, "That stuff is crap, this stuff is real Zelda. If you aren't interested, then just go now", she challenged.
Zelda retreated hastily, "Ok, ok".
Athena looked back down at her book. She started talking about all the stuff she wanted to share with the two of them, Zoe listened rather intently but Zelda was being more quite and remote. Zoe wondered if something was going on at home, that's why Zelda was being so recluse. Of course she rarely spoke to anyone at school, but when she was alone with the other two, it was typically hard to keep her quiet.
Athena's "lecture" continued on for quite some time, until she was ready to put it into practice. Zoe watched as Athena guided Zelda through some sort of aura cleaning process, arranging the stones of Athena's in some sort of particular formation around her, they spent a few minutes chanting something out of Athena's book. Zoe could see nothing had changed.
"Ok Zoe", Athena said, "Your turn"
Zelda cleared the floor for Zoe, returning to her seat on the rock nearby. Zoe knelt down in the centre of the rock formation, with Athena's book in front of her; she repositioned the rocks that Zelda knocked around when she left.
Under Athena's guidance, Zoe found herself chanting several phrases in Latin and Celtic, she didn't really know their exact translations but she could probably look them up if she wanted to. They didn't sound particularly fancy or like they had power behind them, but she chanted them anyway, mainly to humour Athena.
Zoe finished the recitation and turned to Athena to find her staring at Zoe wide eyed, "Oh my God Zoe! What happened to you?!" she exclaimed.
Zoe looked herself down, she couldn't see anything different, it was her same old male self in women's clothes
Wait a minute! , Zoe thought, memories filled her head.
Zoe was bombarded with two sets of memories, one of them of her life as she was now, a woman with a guy's body from the neck down. And another life's worth of memories hit her at the same time, almost like she was trying to see something through a fog and the fog suddenly cleared. She remembers another life, a life where she had a normal female body, one identical to Jon's.
"What the fuck?" Zoe exclaimed, standing up, trying to backpedal from her position.
They examined her body, it now seemed completely foreign to her then it was a moment ago, Athena's magic charms did something.
Zoe turned to Athena angrily, "What the hell did you do to me?"
Athena shot back just as hastily, "It wasn't anything I did. These spells are aura cleansing, not transmogrification", she looked back at the book, "I'm certain of it"
Zelda stood up and looked Zoe up and down, "Zoe, I remember you being this way, and then being the other way. Could the spell have done something to our memories instead?"
Athena shook her head, "No, definitely not. If it affected all of us and it was self-cast by Zoe, it shouldn't have altered anything of ours, only hers. It's almost like there was a curse on Zoe to keep everyone from seeing the truth"
Athena, Zoe and Zelda looked at each other, "So what do we do about it?" Zelda asked.
