Jon and Karyn began the arduous task of tracking down Sarah McMillan, the former captain of the cheerleading squad at their high school. The last time either of them saw Sarah, she had graduated the year group with the rest of them and headed into a college somewhere, rather the university. However, no one knew where she was.
Karyn pulled in all the markers she knew, even Sarah's former boyfriend Biff Meadows was at a loss to tell where Sarah had run off to and he was closer to her then anyway. It took some time but Jon and Karyn finally figured out where Sarah was, she had moved interstate, nearly across the entire country.
Karyn and Jon took a short leave from work and made a holiday of it, a mixed, "housewarming vacation" and "welcome back Jon" party in one. Making sure to enjoy themselves as they went.
Jon and Karyn had found themselves enjoying the trip more then Jon expected, he'd started to forget why he was even out here looking for Sarah, he was feeling more "normal" again. Karyn suggested that it was simply the fact that he'd never had sex as a man before and the feeling was simply unusual. Jon agreed, but then countered that it was time to give Sarah back her body anyway.
Karyn tried to talk Jon out of it as they approached Sarah's location, "Jon, what happens if we lose the last 4 years?", she asked.
Jon replied, "Karyn, we swapped genitals and society didn't fall apart, I swapped with Sarah originally 4 years ago and nothing changed. The wishing rock won't undo the last 4 years of our relationship simply because I change body. The simple mechanics are there one "in" and one "out" regardless of who they're on, so it'll be fine", he kissed Karyn on the head, "trust me"
Karyn sighed, it would probably be the last time that Karyn would feel those lips on her face, she loved Jon, she really did, but she'd become accustom to Jon in this new body of his, even though it was female, she wasn't a lesbian, she knew that Jon was in there and she technically wasn't a woman herself, the bulge in her jeans could prove that to anyone who didn't already know. So it was right to feel this way about Jon, she decided.
However, Karyn also knew that Jon had sacrificed a lot for their relationship, his body, his masculinity, even though he was a boy, it was in name only, not in reality. So the least she could do is help him recover what he'd lost.
They finally arrived at where Sarah was last seen, Jon and Karyn got off the plane at the airport and collected their luggage. They got in a cab and gave the address to a cab driver at the taxi rank.
A hop, skip and a jump away, they were at Sarah's. The two of them got out of the car and stretched their legs, looking around.
