Of course, wishing yourself and your friend into being princesses would have side effects. The biggest of which is the sheer paradox of it all. For such a kingdom to exist in the first place, either the whole American Revolution did not happen or one of many European powers had somehow managed to get a foothold in North America. Even without anything in the way of political power, changes would needed to be made. And changes were made by the stone. Or stones, in this case.
Additional land was added to create the illusion that the place where Karyn and Josie co-ruled could somehow exist without majorly swinging the balance politically or financially. Which meant the creation of natural resources, the necessary people to prove that said resources were they had been placed and the people to actually give birth to those in order to fill the kingdom out.
All of that, without even factoring in the industries. But that was quite low on the totem pole compared to what needed to happen next - the removal of Karyn and Josie's parents respectively. Of course, that was easier said than done. Even in the easiest way of just making them disappear, that still left the matter of their other child.
Which brings us nicely to Mikey. Currently slumbering in his bed, he was blissfully unaware of what had occurred mere moments ago. No, his dreams were on that of people in brightly colored spandex piloting robots against just as colorful villains. Or at least, his dreams were that way... up until the wishing stone got involved.
The bright and colorful people in spandex had given way to brightly colored princesses. Dressed in massive ballgowns poofed to the brim with petticoats, they brought with them not giant mechas. Instead, their helpful fairy companions served as their form of transports/weapons to blast apart the bad guys. Of course, to go with the change of the princesses, the bad guys are now vaguely reminiscent of that of maids and butlers. All of which pulled from footage sourced from obscure Japanese shows at low cost by the Kingdom without the general public's knowledge. At least, no one in 2011 without some amount of Internet access.
"Ugh..." Mikey announced as 'he' pushed back the new pink bedspread that was on 'his' bed. If Mikey could see what was occurring here, perhaps the child would've freaked out. Instead, his or rather, her hands reach out to one of her pigtails and begin twirling the hair about.
"Duchess Michelle, are you up?" a voice called out, probably a servant to help her get dressed. Letting out a sigh, Michelle reached out to the light switch. No reason to hold off starting her day any longer.
