So that was that, Jon and Karyn were going to stay swapped, not because they had to, but because they CHOSE to. Two things kept them from switching back to their old selves, the unique bond they now shared was because their bodies were literally made for each other. Jon a guy in a girl's body, Karyn, a girl with a guy's penis. Thanks to the wording of the wish, everyone still considered Jon a guy and Karyn a girl, any attempts to date anyone else would never have worked properly.
Karyn taught Jon all the "facts of life" all over again, teaching him about feminine hygiene, applying makeup, comfort of bras and much more. Jon in the meantime learned that he could still be a geek, he was technically now just a sexy geek. Thanks to the swap wish, Jon had a whole wardrobe of Sarah's to choose from, he was a little squeamish about wearing revealing clothes first off, but it was expect of him and no one thought it out of the ordinary for him to do so since they really belonged with Sarah's body anyway.
Over the months, Karyn and Jon continued to go to school, and go out with each other. Jon would take advantage of Sarah's body whenever Karyn wasn't around and enjoy it as much as he could, but it wasn't the same as when Karyn was around. Karyn would also discover the "joys" of having a penis in her own self discovery sessions.
Of course, going to school took a little bit of getting used to, Karyn and Jon initially were afraid to go into their appropriate change rooms, but then after a few cautious attempts, they found that no one in the girls locker-room found Karyn with a penis out of the ordinary and no one in the boys found Jon showering naked with them strange or even arousing, confirming that everyone still saw them as their old genders.
The strangest part was seeing Sarah McMillan in Jon's body still dating biff Meadows and doing cheerleading, unlike Jon, Sarah's new body didn't have any cheerleading clothes in its collection, she just seemed to do it in the male equivalent of the school's sports uniforms and no one thought it out of place. But the public displays of affection that Sarah and Biff showed to each other in two male bodies didn't seem out of place at all, except that Jon and Karyn squirmed the first few times they saw it, until they got used to it.
Living at home was strange too, not so much for Karyn because her only change was below the belt, but Jon still felt uneasy at the dinner table every night, his mother and father were there along with Zoe and Mikey, none of them ever saw anything out of place with Jon, but he still felt like he was a stranger there in his new body.
Jon did come to understand Zoe better though, they started to spend more time together, though Jon couldn't figure out why, perhaps just that he could relate to her on a closer level then they used to when he was still in a male body. Over time his mind started to think more female as well, not because he was being influenced by his body, but the idea that he was living in a woman's body for such a prolonged period was beginning to have an effect on him. Sometimes he forgot he was a guy until someone referred to him as such.
So over time, everything got back to normal, Jon and Karyn practically forgot about the stone and their original lives as they finished high school and continued on into college. Their love was all that mattered, and it didn't bother them at all that they weren't in their original bodies.
By the time graduation day came, Jon and Karyn were considering moving in with each other in an apartment, Jon had picked up a job in the IT field somewhere and Karyn was working for a pharmacy. It wasn't strange at all to see the two of them in low cut dresses headed out to a fancy restaurant on the weeknights or to see them staggering out of a bedroom in either the Gibson OR Black residence draped in very revealing dressing gowns in the morning. Life was good for the both of them.
It wasn't until early the following year after graduation that the wishing rock and the body swapping wish even came up again. Karyn and Jon had just moved into their first apartment in the big city, they'd moved far away from their old town and families. Jon was no longer able to easily encounter Sarah so barring a special trip, their swap was pretty much permanent now, unless they wanted to reverse everything, since Sarah was Jon's second swap.
The two of them put the wishing rock on a high shelf of a display cabinet as they unpacked all their belongings together. The long ago placed perception wish still to this day kept Karyn from telling exactly what the rock was, except that it was important to Jon.
As Jon finished bringing in the last box of their stuff from the car, he kicked the door closed behind him with one of his high heeled boots. He dropped the box to the ground with a thump, the stuff inside rattled a bit.
Karyn walked up to Jon and wrapped her arms around his waist, looking seductively into his eyes. "I love you Jon, I want you to have all of the love I give you"
"I love you too Karyn, you can have it back", he replied.
