Jon made sure to head downstairs early so that he could check out his sister. He hadn't entered her dreams for a few days, but it seemed that whatever changes he made were still affecting her. That was good, because he didn't want to constantly enter her dreams on a daily (or rather nightly) basis.
He heard someone walking down the stairs and looked in that direction, waiting to see what Zoe looked like this morning. But before he could gaze upon his "new" sister, the doorbell rang.
Jon turned and headed to the door. It was probably Karyn. She said that she'd stop by early this morning, probably wanting to use the stone. It had been a few days since she had.
But when Jon opened the door, he saw that it wasn't Karyn, but rather Athena.
"Hi, Jon," she said, smiling. She still had the bleach-blond hair that she had the previous day after school. Her outfit was different, but it definitely looked like something that Karyn might wear. It was almost as if Athena were trying to look just like Jon's best friend.
"Athena? What are you doing here?" he asked.
"Um, I was wondering if maybe it was okay if helped you carry your stuff to school?" she said, sounding a bit shy.
"Athena?" Zoe asked, as she stepped off of the bottom step of the stairs. "Is that you?" This must have been the first time that Zoe saw the "new" Athena.
