The walk to Cerulean City was a bit longer than Ash remembered it being. If anything, the extra time gave the trainer a chance to let his mind wander.
"I wonder which one of them I'll get to be?" Ash thought, trying his best to split his concentration between the walk and the thoughts in his head.
Would it be Misty? Sure, he could go down the 'tomboy' route, or he could become the version of her that had listened to her sisters - the true fourth 'sensational sister'.
Or perhaps... Daisy? Sure, she was a little scatterbrained. But her heart was in the right place. More or less.
Maybe he would get to be Violet? While encouraging of her sisters, she did have a bit of a teasing side.
Heck, there was even Lily. While young, she was snobby and full of herself. Not that Ash had a problem with wrangling that in.
The Cerulean City Gym came into view.
"Time to find out." Ash thought, pushing the door of the Gym open.
