Stepping through, the sisters found themselves in a relatively plain building. Chairs with dryers lined one side, with the other side dedicated for more traditional haircuts. Reddish tan tiles stretched down the floor, leaving the pinkish tan walls kind of plain. As for the front, that had been done with shelves containing haircare products and chairs with magazines to read.
"Welcome!" the woman at the counter greeted and shifted her attention to Johanna. "I trust that you want the usual?"
Johanna nodded, gaze already turning to her sister. Part of her debated whether or not she even wanted to ask Julia what she wanted. While Julia was unlikely to decline any suggestion she made, it was probably best to let her make her own choices.
"I'll get the same as her." Julia announced, the woman's focus turning to her. Scribing something down on a piece of paper, her gaze returned to the younger Berlitz. This was all news to her. Even with Dawn's absence off somewhere in the great wide world, Johanna had never mentioned a sister to her. Maybe if she was lucky, an explanation would be given. "Is there something wrong?"
The woman shook her head.
"Not at all." she answered and looked to her right. Giving a wave, two stylists came over. "Andrea, you'll be working with Johanna. Mary, you'll be doing up Johanna's sister's hair. They both want the same look, so nothing sloppy."
Both stylists nodded, leading their respective client over to a chair. Sitting down, both women found a large cloth wrapped around their neck. Draped all the way down, they were spun around to face the mirror. Once that was done, the stylists got to work.
"This feels so good." Julia thought, trying her best to not look over to her sister. Tempted as she was to see what was happening with Johanna, that would just ruin the surprise.
