As Lisa took a step back, she looked over at Monika. Was this really her brother anymore?
From the dialog in the game she remembered back now, there wasn't any sign of struggle, which meant he must've been
fully assimilated by the time he was inside. In other words, he was Monika in mind and body - had she done something horrifying
by bringing her brother out here.
"Hey, why don't we just go downstairs and relax. We still have the wishing rock right?
Say, we could, we could even use it to wish for a 1989 DoLorean from Back to the Future! Doesn't that sound cool?"
Lisa asked, attempting to mask her nervousness.
Monika looked at Lisa coldly, before rubbing her head and smiling so fake that glass couldn't be more see-thru.
"Oh, oh yeah yeah! A real dolrean like doctor brown used? That'd be awesome! Let's go downstairs and wish for it now."
She said while walking forward within a foot's distance of Lisa. Lisa took a single step back, again keeping the remote pointed at her.
Monika put her hands on it and pushed it gently downwards until it aimed at the floor.
"Yeah, about that. Only one thing. The DeLorean from Back to the Future was dated to 1985. Details y'know? Leonard is kind of a sucker for those"
Lisa said pointing the remote back up at Monika intently with a piercing glare.
Monika's own glare intensified tenfold, teeth grit. She threw her arms back, slowly getting up, stretching and walking towards Lisa and pushing her forward.
"Okay, ya caught me. I'm not really sure what happened either. Sometimes you're just trying to drive your classmates
to suicide, the next thing you know you find the perfect soul mate. It's yourself you know? Who ever would've thought that
the perfect partner for you could ultimately be, well you!"
She smirked. "Atleast, when I say perfect partner I mean you WILL BE." Rushing forward, the game NPC delivered a headbutt Lisa's direction, sending her backwards.
As she kicked her in the crotch, she grabbed the flailing remote and clutched it, pointing it down at the ground. "Later nerd!"
Lisa eye'd Monika however and spit to the side. "Oh, aren't you forgetting that wound on your knee?" The other girl paused. "What wound-"
Immediately Lisa hopped up and round-house kicked Monika. She wasn't the most athletic ever but had seen some good training videos.
Monika fell back to the floor. The remote fell between them in-turn. Both girls had leapt forward and grabbed it after, playing a game of tug-o-war with a device
that could upend their very existence with a single press. It was life or death, or more likely another life.
A truly momentous struggle. What would be the outcome?
