"Nothing." Jon replied.
"What do you mean, nothing?" Karyn demanded, "a magic potion can't just do nothing..."
Jon nodded, "I agree. But the stone drew a blank."
Karyn held out her hand, "Did you break it or something?"
"No, I don't think so." Jon turned the stone over a few times before handing it to Karyn. It took her only a few secondsto repeat his wish, "Well?"
Karyn nodded, "like you said, nothing. How odd. Let me try something. I wish I knew what was in locker 312." there was a quick flash and Karyn frowned, "that one worked."
"why locker 312?" Jon asked.
"it's the locker that creepy guy Morgan uses. He was staring at me all morning. Anyway," Karyn continued, "it just doesn't make sense for one wish to be blocked like that. I really wish we knew why the stone couldn't get the information."
"Karyn!" Jon was about to remind her about negligent wishing when the stone flashed and Karyn's eyes widened, "What?"
"The stone told me why it couldn't read the potion. The maker put a spell in place to prevent anyone from stopping them." Karyn replied, "and the stone's magic can't penetrate it. Something about it being crafted out of it's effect, I think. I'm no sure, the stone isn't very good at describing it's limits."
"Wait...who was the maker then?"
