"It's Mikey's teacher Ms. Warren," Jon said, sounding astonished.
"What about her?"
"She's ... a crime fighter."
"A crime fighter? What does that mean?"
"You know, like Batman."
"She's a superhero?" Karyn almost laughed at the idea of Mikey's teacher dressing up like a character from a comic book and going out to fight bad guys. If Mikey ever found out about this, it would be like his greatest fantasy come true. He loved reading comic books.
"Well, I don't know if she has any powers, but she does fight crime and she does wear a costume."
"If that's true, how come we haven't heard about it? You'd think something like this would be reported in the newspaper or something."
"Maybe it has been reported on, but then dismissed as some wacko."
Karyn shrugged. "Does she have a name?"
