Mikey reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring. A small blue stone (possibly sapphire) was embedded in it. "If I wear this ring and touch someone or something with the blue stone part of it, then that person or thing belongs to me. If it's a person that gets touched, then that person believes that he or she loves and adores me. They think that they're a slave to my will. But they're totally fine with it." He put the ring on and looked at it. Then he looked back up at Jon. "So, please don't get Ms. Warren into any trouble. I'm the one that made her like that. I've always had a crush on her. And with this ring ..."
"You touched her?" Karyn asked.
"Yeah, I did. And now she loves and adores me. She's totally mine."
"Mikey, you have to reverse it," Jon said. "It's not right for a woman of her age to love someone like you. You're not even a teenager yet."
"I don't think there is a way to reverse it," Mikey said. "And who cares if it's not right for a woman like that to love me? I love her back. It's all ... uh ... consensual."
"Only because of the ring, Mikey," Karyn said. "Otherwise, it wouldn't be. It's like you're forcing her to love you."
"Sorry, Mikey," Jon said. "But Karyn's right. It's just wrong. We have to do something about it."
Mikey slumped his shoulders again.
