Jon checked his pocket and found a wallet. Inside was an ID with the name Jon Lettman.
"Lettman? As in Derek Lettman? The emo kid?"
No wonder he looked like an emo. The tight T-shirt, the tight jeans, the studded belt, the long hair that cascaded over his face. It was pretty unmistakable.
He looked around the bedroom that was even smaller than his own. It was really tattered and messy, with clothes strewn about and some of the cheapest furniture Jon had ever seen. He knew that Derek came from a poor family, but he didn't think it would be like this.
He put the wallet back in his pocket and grabbed his cellphone. But he didn't have one, apparently. So, he looked for a land line phone and used that instead. Something was bothering him ever since he made his wish. If he had taken Derek's place, did that mean that Derek took his? He had to call his house, just to make sure.
As he called, he grabbed the stone out of his pocket. Well, he would have, if it were there. His eyes went wide. Where was the stone? Did he drop it somewhere? Then an even worse feeling came over him. Did he not even have it in this reality? If he was part of the Lettman family, why would his grandfather even give him the stone?
"Hello?" someone asked on the phone.
