Jon checked his pocket and found a wallet. Inside was an ID with the name Jon McMillan.
"McMillan? As in Sarah McMillan?"
No wonder his clothes looked so ... preppy. He was still a guy, dressing like a guy, and living a guy's life. It's not like he had Sarah's personality or anything like that. But it was like he had grown up with Sarah's family as his own, and this house as his own.
Also in the wallet was three hundred dollars in cash. Jon didn't think he had ever seen so much money in one place in his life. Was it even safe to carry around that much? Maybe he didn't care in this reality. The McMillans were some of the richest people in town. Money didn't really seem to be an issue for them. So losing a couple hundred dollars probably wouldn't be that much of a problem.
He put the wallet back in his pocket and grabbed his cellphone. Something was bothering him ever since he made his wish. If he had taken Sarah's place, did that mean that Sarah took his? He had to call his house, just to make sure.
As he called, he grabbed the stone out of his pocket. Well, he would have, if it were there. His eyes went wide. Where was the stone? Did he drop it somewhere? Then an even worse feeling came over him. Did he not even have it in this reality? If he was part of the McMillan family, why would his grandfather even give him the stone?
"Hello?" someone asked on the phone.
