Back in the real world, Lisa was tampering with a new type of metal she was developing, before realizing she ran out of energy required from the
high-density fuel rod she was using to melt platinum. She sighed, little inconveniences like this were were such a productivity killer. She supposed
that she'd have to go out and get more, the black market had pretty good prices this time of year. But as she bemoaned the idea of such a trip, a
thought came to her head. Didn't Leonard have some, magic do-dad or whatever? The rock! Normally Lisa didn't believe much in magic but the
empirical evidence had presented itself with the snacks prior. With such a tool, she could finish her invention just like that!
And welding metals for fancy hi-tech new machines wouldn't be a chore anymore.
She could even wish her inventions completed, but Lisa was a woman of her work. Even at age 12 she prided herself in doing things herself,
not making wishes on stars or magical rocks.
That said few easy gimmicks like new fuel rods wouldn't hurt, she figured.
Little things, like how Leonard had filled their fridge with snacks solving grocery mart trips.
She'd take that kind of assistance happily.
Tip-toe'ing across the hall, Lisa peered into Leonard's room, she saw some bright flash of light and ran ahead fullspeed.
Was he using the rock now? Did it have some kind of limit to its power, what if he changed reality wholesale?
Whatever the case, she had to be prepared and fast. She busted thru the door and ran in.
