Jon thought for a few minutes. He reflected on all of the options that he had and decided that an alien was the best way to go.
He stood up and gripped the stone tightly. And after he was sure he was all set, he made his wish.
"I wish I'd meet an alien," he said. "In my bedroom, right now."
He had to look away, as the stone's wish made him do, and then standing in front of him was his grandfather. He said, "... and Jon, do you understand that... That..." Then his grandfather mumbled some words and a glowing blue aura surrounded him for a second. "I knew that was a fake memory. I wasn't here all along, the stone just teleported me here."
"Grandfather? But I asked for an alien. I know you're not from Mars."
He thought about that and laughed. "Boy, you need to remember that not everyone is a geek. Of course I'm not from Mars. Your parents live here, but I don't. I live in England, you know. Except I'm not supposed to be living anywhere. Your little accident may have caused a problem... I was dead for a reason, you know."
"Well, I did suspect..."
"Suspect, of course. Bringing me back to life because you think "alien" means "other planets", on the other hand, wasn't necessary. They're going to find me soon if I don't prepare something fast."
"It wasn't my fault."
"No, it wasn't. Everyone makes mistakes. But that doesn't reduce the danger that both of us are in... We have to... aggggh!" He quickly said another strange magical phrase. Blue flickered around them. "We should keep our memory, but... aggggh!" A purple magical aura surrounded both of them.
"I take it this isn't yours?" asked Jon. "This purple stuff?"
"No, it isn't!"
Then Jon felt himself transform....
