You look over the files, a little annoyed. What's with this text message, changes to my computer? Sounded like a quick invitation to spyware and spam, luckily this wasn't even my computer. I hit 'accept' and sighed as I ignored the slight flashes of light going off for the intro, swatting a fly away. As the fly is flashed by the light it begins to fly strangely, as if possessed, watching you. The game opens up and I begin with the usual routine, where I'm greeted by some girl, presumably the one everyone talks about - Monika. I accept her invitations, ignoring most of the text as much as possible. Sure I had to play an edgy game like this, but I wasn't going to take my time and enjoy it, was I? One afternoon was all I'd spend to beat it.
That character you saw was a small, mousy girl who wore a bow in her hair, who was apparently your “childhood friend”, and was apparently, lazy as hell. You’d at least give a small smile at the relatability. She seemed like an interesting enough character. Hopefully you’d be able to meet the rest so that you’d get to judge them as well. Also hoping she won’t stab you or something. Hopefully she’d just stabe everyone else or some shit about how much she can’t stand loving you. As you get into the club though, you see that there’s… more than one Monika? What? The puple haired one was Monika too. And the pink haired one! You were wondering if this was some sort of joke the characters all played, that “Just Monika” meme you seemed to be incapable of escaping. Speaking of not escaping, that dang fly didn’t seem to leave. Whenever you tried to swat it away, it’d just go to the same spot on your desk and stare at you. Creepy.
