It had been just a few minutes and already Karyn had made a wish mistake. Should she reverse the wish on Jon? She could--she just had to pronounce the phrase properly. But she thought Jon could wait a little while, especially considering the mess his wishing stone had gotten her into. Her family had just gotten a sister, and she couldn't possibly reverse it in any way that made sense.
"Change me bwack!" said her sister.
"Just a minute," replied Karyn. "I need to... wait, what?"
"I'm a girul! Now change me baaaaack!" said Cindy.
"What's going on?" asked Karyn. "Aren't you Cindy?"
"No, I'm a Jon an' I wanna change me back!"
"She's a liar!" exclaimed Jon. "Jon is me and change me back!"
"I don't know what's going on," said Karyn, "but you children need to obey your elders. You're Sally," she said, indicating Sally, "and you're Jon," indicating him, "and you're Cindy," indicating the girl that she had just zapped up.
Jon and Cindy looked at each other and then said together, "Change us..."
"I can still spank you," said Karyn. "I... wait a minute." It suddenly occurred to her what had happened. She wanted a brother or sister like Jon. Well, she had certainly gotten one like Jon. Her new sister had Jon's mind, even if her mother called the girl Cindy. How was she going to get out of this one?
