Jon drove to Athena DeVries' house first, since it was the closest.
But when they arrived, the witch-like Goth girl wasn't outside waiting for them.
Jon sighed. "Zoe? Where's your friend? I thought they'd all be waiting for me to pick them up."
"She's probably still inside."
Jon glared at her. "Well?"
"Well what?"
"Go get her."
Zoe grunted, then got out of the car.
When she was gone, Karyn switched seats with her. They waited for five minutes, but Zoe never came back.
"What's taking them so long?" Jon asked, annoyed. Mostly, though, he was annoyed that he had to be taxiing Zoe and her friends around town, instead of doing what he really wanted on a Saturday.
Another five minutes went by and Jon began to become worried. No way would it take ten minutes to get someone. There must have been a problem.
"Wait here," Jon said, getting out.
"Where are you going?" Karyn asked.
"I'm just gonna check up on them. That's all."
"I'm coming with you. I'm not staying out here all by myself."
"Fine," Jon said. "But let's make this quick. I don't want to waste away all of my Saturday."
They both left the car and walked up to Athena's house.
