As they walked into the mall, Jon and his sister were still arguing about Hot Topic. Fed up, Sabrina whispered "I wish Jon was Goth like us, then he'd see how great Hot Topic is." Suddenly, the stone in her hand grew warm. She looked down at it, only to turn away a second later. When she looked back, the stone looked just as normal as it was when she picked it up.
She looked around and realized that Karyn was gone. "Where did Karyn go?" Not that she really cared, but it seemed impossible that she could be there one moment and then be gone the next.
"Who's Karyn?" Athena asked.
"You know - Jon's friend."
"We're Jon's friends. I don't know anyone named Karyn," Athena said.
"What do you mean we're Jon's friends? I'm not ..." She fell silent, as her eyes fell on a Goth boy talking to Zoe. At first, she thought it was Trevor Blake, but Trevor was walking beside Athena. No, this was someone else. And a few seconds later, the boy turned just enough for Sabrina to see who it was. As unbelievable as it was, the boy was Jon - a Goth Jon. "How is this possible?" she whispered to herself.
