There was a crisis at the store Jon's mom ran so she had to go in on her day off, but before she left she told Jon something.
"Jon there's an emergency at the store and they need me to come in today, so because I can't you need to take your sister and her friends to the mall. Key's are on the counter" Linda said as she left , not giving Jon a chance to reply, she got in a car that pulled up and was gone in seconds.
