Jon glared up at the girl, as the gravity of the situation fully sunk in. "Hello, Athena," he said.
"Hello, Jon. Looking for something?" Athena asked, smirking and holding up the stone.
"Where's my sister?" he asked. "I know she's the one that took the stone from me."
"Oh, Zoe? She's around. But she's not the same Zoe you remember."
"You did something bad to her?" Jon asked. "You're her best friend."
"Oh no," Athena said. "I would never do anything to harm Zoe. I just meant that you wouldn't recognize her." She paused, then smiled. "You want to see the new and improved Zoe Gibson?"
Jon and Karyn looked uneasily at each other.
Then Athena snapped her fingers.
