The next morning, shortly after Jon left for school, his goth sister Zoe slipped into his bedroom. She had been curious about Jon's strange inheritance from their grandfather ever since the funeral. She had been asking Jon to tell her, but he was strangely secretive. Ever since then, she had been sneaking into his room whenever he was out, searching for the small box that he had received.
Today, she noticed the box sitting on Jon's bedside table. She slipped it into her pocket, promising herself that she would race home before Jon and put it back. She grabbed her bag, and headed out the door.
At school, Zoe looked for the first opportunity to ask permission to leave the classroom. She told the teacher that she needed to use the washroom, and she quickly ran there. She locked herself into a stall, and pulled out the little box. She opened it gingerly, and found a funny, metallic-looking rock and a note.
As she read the note, her eyes widened. She wasn't sure if this was real, or if Jon was playing some kind of joke on her. She figured that there was only one way to find out.
She gently lifted the stone out of the box, and said "I wish that I had the picture I finished last night tattooed on my back!" Zoe had been dying to get a cool tattoo for over a year, but her parents refused to give her permission, and she didn't have the money.
The stone glowed. Zoe put the stone in her pocket and stepped out of the stall. She pulled off her shirt and looked over her shoulder into the bathroom mirror.
"Awesome!" she said, delighted with her new addition.
