A few minutes later, though, when Susan eased up her grip on her daughter, Sarah took the opportunity to struggle free. First, by stomping on her mom's foot, and second, by pushing her mom on the floor.
Susan let out a cry as she hit the floor, then yelled "Come back here, you bitch!"
Sarah wasn't sure what was happening, but whoever that woman was, she wasn't her mother. Her mom would never talk like that to her.
Carefully, but quickly, Sarah went through the house, trying to find a way out. That gothic freak Zoe could be anywhere. She definitely didn't want to run into her again. The last time that happened, she somehow got into her house. Sarah couldn't quite remember how she did it, though. Her memory was a little fuzzy in that area.
Meanwhile, Susan stood up from the floor in a huff. She had to find Sarah before she got away.
