Zoe watched a girl run towards her. At first, she didn't recognize her. But then when she got closer, Zoe saw that the girl was Jon's friend Karyn. Except, for some reason, she was dressed like Athena. Same tattered black dress, same red corset, and same fishnet gloves.
"Karyn?" Zoe asked.
"Karyn?" Athena asked. "What are you talking about? I'm Athena, remember?"
"You can't be. You look just like my brother's friend Karyn." Zoe pointed to the window of a nearby car that was parked alongside the road. "Look at your reflection."
Athena humored her friend and looked. She nearly gasped when she saw that Zoe was right. She looked exactly like Karyn, except for her gothic look, that was.
"How could this happen?" Athena asked.
"The talisman. Someone must be using it!" Zoe said. "We have to go back to my house and stop whoever's doing it."
"Good. Because I don't want Karyn's body."
