After the flash Zelda found herself walking next to Jon through the mall. She wasn't sure how reality had changed to account for her wish, but something must have gone right. For some reason she couldn't place she felt off though.
"I'm so happy we were able to go out together tonight." She said, smiling as she looked over at Jon. He still looked kind of distant though. "Is something wrong?"
"Sorry mom, it's just that whole thing with Sarah. You were right, I don't know what I was doing dating her." He answered. He knew the swaps were random, but having Sarah as his girlfriend was something he wasn't ready for. Thankfully he had the support of his mom.
Zelda froze on the spot. What had he called her? She looked into the glass of a nearby store. Sure enough she was Sarah Madison's former age. She still wore darker colors, but they were toned down for her professional life. Her face was more mature with fine lines, her breasts rounder, fuller and heavier, her hips and butt were wider with more padding, and her belly was pooching just a bit.
"You alright mom? I know it's been a long day for you. You sure you're up for the movie?" Zelda turned to see Jennifer and Mikey.
Jon and Jennifer were wearing more dark, more mature clothing, influenced by their mother. They weren't goth, but knew more about the culture and had a darker more thoughtful outlook.
Zelda had just wanted to not fight with Jon's mother. That wouldn't be a problem now.
