Jon looked around, suddenly lost. Everyone had changed. It was safe to say he knew a lot of people at school. But he didn't know everyone, and he didn't know them all well. He hadn't limited his wish to people he knew. He'd said all the girls at his school.
"Hey, big bro," a voice said from behind him. "You want company walking home?" He turned.
It was Nadine Ferguson ... well, now Nadine Madison. He'd grown used to some of the changes. Nadine looked almost exactly like she normally did, but the face looked a lot more like his mom's and her hair was curly and more stylized, unlike the straight bristly hair she had before. She looked more lively too, not like the stern religious girl she was before.
"Okay, Nadine," he said. "Umm ... how was your day?"
Before she could answer, someone slapped Jon on the shoulder. He turned and saw Biff Meadows. But there was something different about him. Yes, he was still a jock, but his features looked a little ... altered. Jon was confused. Only girls were supposed to change, not guys too. What was happening?
"I've gotta make this quick. My mom's waiting for me outside. But I thought maybe we could do something later? Maybe like meet at the mall?"
"You ... want to hang out with me?" Jon asked. Biff and his jock buddies usually wanted nothing more than to tease him. This was definitely a different Biff.
"Of course, why wouldn't I? You are my best friend. Anyway, see you in a few hours, okay?" Then he sprinted towards the entrance and ran out of the school.
Jon followed him to the school entrance and watched him jump into a car being driven by ... no, that couldn't be. It was Karyn! Karyn was Biff's mom?
