It looked like some kind of forest, wild and untouched by human influence. The trees loomed overhead, far larger and taller than any Jon had ever seen even on camping trips. Sunbeams lanced down through the canopy, illuminating patches of undergrowth sprinkled with sweet scented flowers. The sounds of birds filled the otherwise silent air, and various butterflies drifted lazily across the tranquil scenery. Overall, it was a paradise.
Normally, Jon would have been utterly hypnotized by the beauty of the place. However, a rather immediate problem occupied him. His clothes no longer fit right. Quickly, he grabbed his pants just as they began slipping off his smaller frame. The bottom of his favorite t-shirt now fell to mid-thigh. Then, he noticed the hair, long and golden, bordering his vision and falling in shimmering waves even lower than his shirt.
"What th-" Jon squeaked before clapping his hands over his mouth, incidentally letting his pants pool forgotten at his slender ankles. "M-my voice!"
His wide eyes drifted down to the two large lumps tenting the fabric over his chest. Snatching the bottom of his shirt, he yanked it up to his chin and gawked. Perky breasts, waspish waist, girlish hips, and a feminine slit where male equipment once resided, the expanse of pale, hairless skin made all these details practically glow in the ambient light. There was no denying that she was now a girl, and quite a lovely one at that. Slowly, she lowered the shirt back down, letting it drape over her like a loose gown.
"Why did it turn me into this!?" Jon gasped, noticing how cute and innocent she sounded. "I have to fix this somehow! Where's the rock?"
Finding her delicate hands empty, she kicked off her ill-fitting pants and shoes and shook them upside down. Nothing fell out. Had she lost it? She began to scan the leaf litter that covered the forest floor.
Suddenly, she heard something, a rustle of branches to her right. When she turned, she saw nothing. Another branch shook towards her left, but again, the cause evaded her gaze. Was she about to meet her unicorn? Then, a deep rumbling growl sent a shiver through her body. Nope, not a unicorn. Whatever it could be, it sounded rather large, and she immediately thought of bears. Dropping everything, she darted over to a nearby boulder and tried to climb on top. Unfortunately, in her unfamiliar body, she found it difficult to find workable handholds. A slip of the foot sent her tumbling back to the ground in a heap.
The rumbling sounded louder than ever, and very, very close. Trembling with fear, Jon curled up in a ball and awaited her fate.
All at once, the noise stopped. The minutes ticked by, but Jon sensed nothing more. So, bracing herself, she cracked open her eyes and lifted her head to inspect her surroundings.
