As his parents tried to help him, Jon (now Jennifer) continued to lose his memories. He already forgot about his friend Tim Brant, thinking that he was a complete stranger. Would he forget his other friends, including Karyn? He still remembered that he was supposed to be a guy, but the details of his life were disappearing, being replaced by the memories of this girl version of himself.
But despite all of these changes to his/her mind, Jon/Jen's words (as well as everyone else's) were still molding reality, all because of that stupid wish made with the stone.
"Come on, Jen. Tell us what's wrong," a girl suddenly said.
Jon/Jen looked up and saw that in the place of that Tim guy was a girl that kind of looked like she could have been Tim's sister. And upon looking at her, Jon/Jen received new memories. This was Tammy, her lesbian girlfriend. No, wait. Jon/Jen wasn't supposed to be a lesbian. She wasn't even supposed to be a girl! Hold on ... she? Jon was losing himself. He was starting to think he/she was supposed to be a girl.
"Listen to your girlfriend," Jon/Jen's mom said.
