As it turned out, the restaurant experience was very noticeably different in this world.

Karyn and Biff were inside waiting for them, with Biff dressed very similarly to how Jon was dressed and Karyn wearing a very conservative full-length dress, which, just like Sarah's, hid all of her curves that Jon knew she had, thanks to that accidental wish she made in the previous reality. Her head was shaved too, but Jon could still tell that her hair was blond instead of reddish.

A waiter came by and seated them and except for when they ordered their meals, they barely talked at all. And when Jon tried to start up a conversation, Sarah shushed him, saying that same old line about how they were in public, etc., etc.

Like the way people looked and acted, the food was considerably bland. There wasn't even any salt, pepper, ketchup, or any other condiments, as there would be in the normal reality. And there was no music coming from overhead speakers. The room was almost nearly silent. This world was definitely boring as hell. Well, except for when they were in the privacy of their own homes, anyway.

Jon couldn't believe that he had made this wish with a seven-day time limit. What was he thinking? And furthermore, he got rid of the wishing stone for all of that time. He wouldn't get it back for another week!

After they had their bland meals, a waiter came and took their plates away. It was then that Jon asked if the restaurant had any desserts. Sarah, Biff, and Karyn all froze in shock.

"Sir," the man said seriously. "You're in public. If you ask for something like that again, I'll be forced to ban you from this restaurant."

Jon couldn't wait to get home. In fact, he figured that it was best to just stay home and just let the seven days run out. Public life was definitely not something he wanted to experience every day.
