As Tom headed to his second period class, he spotted one of those Goth girls. He thought that her name was Tiffany, but he wasn't entirely sure. Thinking that this might be a good time to do it, he approached her, intending on telling her about Jon and his ability to make wishes come true. He didn't know if she would believe him or not. But he had to get help from someone. And at the moment, Goths were the only ones he could talk to, since if he tried talking to anyone else about this, they would become Goths. And he didn't want that to happen. It shouldn't happen. Not to anyone else.

But being Goth isn't so bad, is it? his mind told him. He had no idea where that thought came from. But the scariest part? He was actually starting to believe it. He shook his head, clearing all those disturbing thoughts from his mind, then he continued his way towards the Goth girl.

"Hi, Tom," Tiffany said, when she spotted him walking towards her. She remembered back to the first day of the "swap", after she discovered that she had Athena DeVries' life. The Goth boys (Jon Gibson, Danny Foster, and Tom Welles) disgusted her. They were so freaky with their black skirts, spiked collars, and whatnot. But now, she wasn't disgusted at all. In fact, she was comfortable with their looks.

"Tiffany, right?" he asked.

She looked oddly at him. "Yeah?"

"I've got a big problem. And I know this will sound strange, but ..." He paused. Was he really going to do this? How would she react to the fact that he wasn't supposed to be a Goth? Or would she even believe him? He took a deep breath, then continued. "Up until yesterday, I wasn't a Goth. I was a jock."

She stared at him. "It happened to you too?"

"Wait, what? What are you talking about?" This wasn't the reaction he was expecting. Did Jon do this kind of thing to other people too?

In a softer voice, she said "Up until Tuesday morning, I wasn't a Goth either."

"That's impossible." Or was it? He knew what Jon could do. "Well ... what were you before?"

"A cheerleader."

"You're kidding." He looked at her. No way would Tom ever think that someone like this girl (who looked like a witch, by the way) would be on the cheerleading squad. "So ... you were friends with Zoe Gibson?"

"What? No way. I was friends with Sarah."

Now Tom was confused. A cheerleader friends with a Goth girl? "But I thought you said ..."

"Sarah changed too. She used to be the head cheerleader and Jay Duncan's girlfriend."

"How much is different?"

Tiffany told him about who swapped with whom, as far as she knew. She didn't know about the jock/geek swap, so she thought that Biff had always been a geek and that Jay had always been a jock. She also didn't know about the Jon/Trevor swap, although her friend Jessica did. And she didn't know about all the other changed people either. Like Karyn, Danny Foster, and Felicia Harrington, who had all become Goths because of a wish.

"I can't believe it. But considering what Jon can do ..."

"Jon? You mean Jon Gibson? What does he have to do with all this?" she asked.

"He's the one that changed me."

"How?"

"He made a wish and it came true. Then he made another wish, that if I ever tried to tell anyone about him and his 'power', the person I told would become Goth. That's why I decided to tell you. You're already Goth, so ..."

"That was smart. But how is Jon doing it? He must have an artifact, or something."

"I don't know," Tom said. He looked at his watch. "Fuck, I've gotta get to class." He turned and rushed down the hall, not even thinking twice about his inadvertent swear.

Tiffany turned back to her locker. "So Jon was the one who swapped them, huh?" She had to know how he was doing it, but she couldn't just flat out ask him. With the power to make wishes come true, that would be a very foolish course of action. No, she had to be more sneaky about it.

She closed her locker and headed to her next class.
