By the time Mike made it to his locker, he was out of breath. He could even feel some sweat building up on his chest. He never knew that walking could be so hard. But, of course, he never had a weight problem to deal with until now.

"See?" Biff said, opening his own locker, which was right next to Mike's. "This is what I was talking about. You can't go on through life with that body. You can barely move around."

"You think I don't know that?" Mike asked. "I'd give anything to have my old body back. But as far as we know, we're stuck this way."

"Not if you start exercising."

"Biff, even if I did exercise, I'm not going to lose all this weight overnight. I have to get used to having this body, no matter if I like it or not." Mike took his first-period books out of his locker.

"Math?" Biff asked. "Don't you have Health and Fitness for first period?"

"Not in this life. I just checked my schedule and saw that I have Trigonometry for first period. I wonder if I can drop it. I haven't even passed Geometry yet."

"Do you think my schedule is different too?"

"Just check it. It should be in your locker."

Biff looked closer at the contents of his locker and saw his schedule, wedged in the back. As he grabbed it, he noticed some photos taped to the back of his locker. Some of them were of him with his friends (all looking like geeks) and others were of him at what looked like the science fair and chess championships. In every single one of those, he was awarded first place. He was always a winner. He strove to be the best. This was the first time since the swap that he could actually connect with his new life. Of course, the venue was different (sports rather than science and math), but Biff always aimed at being the best, and usually he was.

"Biff?" Mike asked.

"Huh?"

"You looked kind of spaced out there, for a minute."

"I'm okay." Biff looked down at his schedule and saw that he had Physics for his first-period class, so he grabbed his science books and closed his locker.

Then, on the way to both of their classes, Biff had an odd and unexpected encounter.

"Biff," a girl's voice said. He stopped and looked around. Since first period would begin within just a few minutes, there weren't many students around in the hallway. And none of the ones that were looked like they called out his name.

"Biff, over here," the girl's voice said again. It was coming from an alcove just off the side of the hallway. He walked towards it and saw a bizarre-looking girl hiding inside. She had bright red dreadlock hair, red make-up, a red latex bodysuit, and black knee-high lace-up boots with three-inch stacks. She looked ridiculous in her getup, which made her look like she was auditioning for a comic book movie, like X-Men or something. (Although, she did have some nice curves ... for a freak.)

"What do you want?" he asked, feeling a little ticked off that he was interrupted from going to class for this.

"I just wanted to thank you for inviting me."

"Inviting you?"

"Yeah. To the sci-fi con tomorrow."

"I'm not going to a sci-fi con, whatever that is," Biff said.

"Yesterday you told me you were."

"I've never talked to you before. And frankly, I'm not sure why I'm talking to you now." Biff turned and left. As he walked away, he heard Melissa sniffling. Weirdo, he thought.
