Zoe and her friends, all dressed in their cheerleader uniforms (as it was custom to do on home-played football days), strolled towards the school, giving off an air of importance.

"Zoe," Biff said, catching her attention.

"Get away from me, you loser," she said, turning back around and continuing on her way, into the school.

"Zoe, it's me. Biff. Don't you remember? I'm your boyfriend. Try to remember."

"Eww. Why would I date a loser like you? You're so pathetic." She turned her attention away again, then smiled. "There's my real boyfriend."

Biff followed her gaze to a guy in a football jersey. His back was turned, but he knew who it was, as his jersey said DUNCAN 15. Fifteen was my number, Biff thought.

Zoe walked towards her boyfriend and touched his arm, causing him to turn around in her direction. Biff was right, of course. It was Jay Duncan, former geek.

Biff's eyes burned with anger. "That little twerp," he said. "He's got my life and my girlfriend?"

Mike grabbed Biff's arm. "Don't do anything stupid. You're not as strong as you used to be."

Biff yanked his arm back from Mike and walked towards Zoe and Jay, totally disregarding his friend's helpful advice. He watched as Zoe put her hands up Jay's jersey, touching his chest. Jay looked a little bewildered, but then he grabbed hold of Zoe and pulled her close. And then he kissed her. Obviously, this angered Biff even more.

"Get away from her!" he yelled.

They broke off their kiss and Zoe looked astonished. "You have got to be kidding me."

"You want her?" Biff asked Jay. "You'll have to take her from me."

Jay looked a little confused. "You want to fight me?"

"Yes." Biff held up his arms, ready to fight. "Take your best shot."

"Oh, this is gonna be good," Zoe said. "Man versus dweeb," she added, with a laugh.

"I don't really want to do this," Jay said to Biff.

"What are you? Chicken?"

"Knock the crap out of him, Jay!" Zoe yelled.

At this point, a crowd was forming and they seemed to have the same desires as Zoe. For the first time since arriving to school, Biff noticed that people really were treating him differently. He didn't want to believe that he had totally lost his life. There had to be something, some part of his life that was still there. But there wasn't. He was the loser now, and everyone remembered it that way, whether it was Zoe or the crowd. And suddenly, he wasn't sure he wanted to fight after all. And he wondered how he could have gotten himself into this situation to begin with. Was he crazy? Jay now had the body of a jock, strong and muscular. And Biff was a weakling by comparison. What was he doing?

"What are you waiting for?!" Zoe yelled. "Beat the crap out of him!"

Biff looked around, appearing uncertain, then he braced himself.

"I really don't want to do this, but ..." Jay said, making a fist.

"Just do it," Biff said. He had to show the crowd that he wasn't a weakling. He had to stand his ground. If he backed out now, they'd never accept him. And he very much wanted to be accepted, eventually.

Jay pulled back his arm and slugged Biff right in the face, knocking him out instantly. He didn't even have a chance.

Zoe smiled and skipped over to Jay, hugging him. "Come on," she said, pulling him with her.

After the crowd dissipated, Mike sweatily ran to where Biff hit the floor. "Biff?" he asked. He wasn't moving, making Mike think that he was dead. But then he groaned. He was still alive.

Biff grabbed his head and dizzily looked around. "Did I win?"

Mike bent over as best he could, given his weight problem, and helped Biff to his feet. "No."
