Stephanie's alarm went off, waking her up. As she stretched her arms, she thought about the previous night and how fun it was to actually shop. As a Goth girl, she always stayed away from the mall, but after the previous night, how could she resist? With her friends, she shopped for fashion, beauty supplies, pop music CD's, and more. And all the while, they talked about boys and music ... it was so much fun!
She smiled, thinking that she was going to enjoy being a preppy girl after all. And the more she liked it, the more she hated what she was. All dark and gothic and depressed. Who wants that?
Jessica woke up, seeing that Jon was still in bed with her. Apparently, he stayed all night. She touched his arm, shaking it a bit, and he woke up.
"Is it morning already?" he asked her, groggily.
"Yeah. Unfortunately."
Jon sat up, then turned to Jessica. "Thanks for coming along last night."
"Are you kidding me? I'd go through Hell with you. And speaking of which, today's the day of the big game, so you know all those brainless cheerleaders will be making a big deal about it. Ugh. I hate those bitches."
"You used to be one of them, you know."
"Yeah, I know. But ..." She paused. "Wait a minute. How did you know about that?"
"Didn't Amber tell you?"
"No. Tell me what?"
"That I got changed by the same magic that changed you."
Jessica sat back. "Then ... what were you like before?"
"Do you know Trevor Blake?"
"Yeah, I think so."
"I swapped with him."
She paused, then leaned forward. "I guess you weren't too bad, but I prefer you like this."
"Me too. Believe me, I don't want to go back to what I was. I like being Goth."
Jessica leaned towards Jon and kissed him on his lips. "And I like that you're Goth too."
Jon smiled.
