At the sound of her alarm, Zelda opened her eyes. In the course of only three days, she had gotten used to her new girly bedroom and lifestyle. At first, it wasn't an easy task. She simply hated it. But slowly she began to change her mind. And now, on Friday morning, she had decided that she liked things this way. And she hoped that things would never return to how they were before. She had a hard time believing that she even liked being a cybergoth. How could she possibly enjoy looking so freakish?
Zelda got out of her bed and looked at herself in her bedroom mirror. A lovely beauty stared back at her. Blond hair, tanned skin. She was an idol, someone that people looked up to. She was important and loved. How could she give up all of this? No. She was here to stay, no matter what.
Melissa opened her eyes at the sound of her alarm clock. She remembered back to Tuesday morning (it seemed like it was so long ago). She was so disgusted by her new look and lifestyle. But now she was fine with it. More than that, she loved it. She couldn't even imagine going back to being the preppy clone she was before. She didn't care if she was popular, just as long as she could keep her individuality. And as the only cybergoth at school, she could easily do just that.
The night before, she spent most of her time listening to her "new" music. The beat on those techno and trance tracks were so hypnotic. Her mind seemed to float, just like at the club she went to with Wendi. While listening to her music, she decided to go for a new look, color-wise anyway. She washed out all the blue dye out her hair and replaced it with bright red dye. She had a red latex bodysuit that she was dying to wear (she just loved wearing latex), but it didn't go quite well with blue-dyed hair.
As she got out of bed, she recalled Biff Meadows' invitation to the sci-fi convention on Saturday. She had completely forgotten about it and wondered if she even wanted to go now. She supposed that she felt appreciated at the time, considering that everyone was being so mean to her. But now, she felt like maybe she wanted to do something else, maybe even with Wendi. But on the other hand, Biff was nice to her and he didn't have to be. Maybe she should go to the convention with him.
