Maybe it was coincidence or maybe it was fate, but when Jon started walking home, he almost walked right into Biff and his three friends (the "new" geeks). What was the chance of Jon bumping into four guys that he had just changed a few hours before?
"Watch where you're going, freak," Biff said. Apparently, his bullying attitude was still intact. But it clashed with his overall geeky look.
Jon looked at him with his black-lined eyes.
"Why are you looking at me like that, freak-boy?" Biff asked.
"I'm sorry, Biff. But I'm the one that changed you. That switched you with Jay and his friends, I mean." This whole situation was spinning out of control and Jon felt some need to make things right, despite having somewhat good intentions to begin with.
Biff grabbed the front of Jon's nylon shirt and pushed him to the ground. "You? You did this to us?!"
"Yes, yes."
"Change us back, you little freak!"
"I ... I can't. You're stuck this way."
Biff's eyes went wide. It was already horrific that he had been turned into a geek, but now he's finding out that he's stuck this way? His mind just couldn't grasp that.
"You're lying!"
"No, I'm not. I mean, there might be another way. But it requires a rare item that I don't have. I may never have it."
Biff let go of Jon's shirt and looked back at his friends. They looked as shocked and hurt as he felt. Randy was even crying. This was ridiculous. Randy had been turned into a wimp. They all had. He turned back to Jon, who was still on the ground, and said "You better find it and change us back, or you'll regret it."
"Believe me, I'm already regretting it," Jon said.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I'm not really Goth. Someone made me like this, for revenge. I need that item as much as you do."
"You just want it for yourself," Biff realized.
"No, that's not true," Jon said.
"You'll use it on yourself and then forget about the rest of us."
"It doesn't work that way. Once I use it, everyone that changed will go back to normal, all at the same time," Jon lied. He had no idea how the item worked. He didn't even know what the item was, only that Chad told him that it existed.
It looked as if Biff was going to kick Jon, but then didn't. "Just find it." Then Biff and his friends walked away.
After they left, Jon stood up and dusted himself off, then he continued walking home.
