"You worry too much, Karyn. How could getting rid of deadly diseases be a bad thing?" Jon took a deep breath and then said "I wish everyone was in perfect health! How could that wish possibly go wrong!?"
"Uh, Jon ..." Karyn pointed at his desk. "Where'd your school stuff go?"
"It's gone! But what could it have to do with perfect health?"
"Or this?" Karyn lifted up her hand. She was wearing a wedding ring.
"Or ... oh no ..." Jon saw a portrait of him and Karyn with Zoe and Mikey on the wall. "You're their ... mother!? And I'm ..." The sight of the clothes in his closet silenced him. They looked like his dad's outfits. "Working. I don't go to school anymore. But I'm just 16! I still look 16! So how can this be!? I ... can't believe this. I ..." Jon looked away from Karyn.
She glared at him. "Give me the stone, Jon!"
Jon was too shocked to resist. He dropped into her palm.
She clenched it with rage. "I wish I knew what was going on!"
