Jon found his dad in the living room. "Hey Dad," Jon said, trying to get his dad's attention.

Jon's dad grunted an acknowledgement without looking up. On the television was, as usual, ESPN. When it came to his down-time, Jon's father was all about sports. Watching it, reading about it, even playing football and baseball on the weekends with his friends.

As Jon stared at his rapt father, he wondered how it was that they were even related. The patriarch was a big man, well over six feet tall, and as wide as he was big. Even at his age, nearly fifty, Jon's dad looked like he belonged in a wrestling ring, not as a sales manager in a car lot. The big man shouted his approval as a touchdown was scored, leaving Jon to wonder, as he had so many times before, if he was adopted.

It really didn't matter. Jon loved his dad. Even though Jon couldn't connect with him in the athletic department, he enjoyed the time they spent together. Jon had a good father. A great father.

Jon just wanted to have some fun, that's all.

"Watching Fashion Television again, eh?" Jon said with a smirk.

The television flickered. Instead of big burly men running down a field, tall, svelte women were walking down the catwalk. Dance music was playing, as the voice-over spoke about the individual looks, the designers, and current trends.

"As if there's anything else on," Jon's big, burly, fashion forward father replied. Tight purple pants, black belt with a large black belt buckle, a wide-lapelled black silk shirt with a matching black jacket, all looked alien on the big man. His hands were clad in black fingerless lace gloves, and around his neck were multiple silver chains that hung loosely, accented with a large skeleton key hanging as a pendant. His greying hair was teased up, and his eyes were outlined with black eye-liner.

Jon stifled a laugh.

"I know, right?" The big man said, noticing the smirk, "This spring line's never going to fly!"
