Before he became too far gone to make a decision, Jon decided to get to Karyn's house as soon as possible. He could always become Goth again later, but this was his only chance to get the stone back. And he had to take it.
So, picking up the pace, he sprinted towards Karyn's house, where he would hopefully become normal enough to get the stone back.
