"Can I have my stone back?" Jon asked Karyn.
She didn't say anything for a few seconds. Then she said "No."
"What?"
"I want to make a few wishes."
"Karyn, you promised."
"Actually, I didn't. You just trusted me."
"Karyn, please. Don't do this."
But Karyn ignored him and made her wish anyway. Jon hoped it wouldn't be too drastic. He didn't want this situation any worse than it already was. But thanks to his emotional "bonding" with Karyn, he trusted her to do the right thing. A part of him (a very small part of him, now) wanted to seek out someone else and change, so that he didn't become 100% trusting of Karyn. This Karyn, which he didn't really know much about. But if he did that, he would risk changing reality into something where he never had the stone, which is why he sought out Karyn in the first place.
In the end, he couldn't stop her and he couldn't leave his bedroom to change himself. He just sat there, letting Karyn make her wish.
