After Jon closed and locked the door, he turned around and got a surprise.
Karyn embraced him and kissed him, deeply. When she ended her kiss, she said "Finally, we're alone."
Jon pushed her back. "Karyn, what's wrong with you? Why did you kiss me?"
"Can't your girlfriend kiss you?"
"Girlfriend?" Then Jon began to realize that this was not his original reality. It may have been similar, but it definitely was not the same. He turned and saw himself in Karyn's bedroom mirror. He looked normal, except that he appeared to be more ... muscular. It wasn't as if he was a bodybuilder, but it seemed like he definitely worked out. This was Karyn's ideal version of him. A fit and handsome version of himself that also was her boyfriend.
"Jon, what's wrong with you?" she asked. Then her eyes went wide. "You didn't do something bad with the stone, did you?"
"Actually, I kind of did." Jon proceeded to tell her all about it.
