When they got down to the main floor, Zoe headed towards the bathroom. Jon decided to go straight to the kitchen, to see how he would react to his mom.
She was sitting down at the table when Jon entered the room. She looked up at him and sighed and shook her head. She seemed disappointed by Jon. He figured that it was because he was Goth and normally he would understand her position, but in his current state of mind he felt disgusted at his mom. What was it to her how he lived his life? He reluctantly took a seat, then he felt strange again as he felt himself change. He was becoming his mom's ideal version of himself.
After the change was over, he looked down at himself. He had grown, and gained some weight. His mom smiled at him. "Ready to eat, honey?" She got up and walked over to him, then bent down and kissed him ... on his mouth.
Wait a minute! Jon thought. What's going on?
Zoe walked into the room. "Oh, hi Jon."
"Zoe! I've told you before to call him Dad."
"He's not my real father!"
Dad? Jon thought. From the context of the argument, he figured that he had become his mom's new husband and Zoe and Mikey's new stepfather. Just the thought of being his own mother's husband disgusted him, but then he thought it wasn't too bad. She was pretty good looking and nice to be around.
"Sit down, young lady!"
Zoe's mom won the argument, apparently, because Zoe did as she said.
