"I'm Dr. Bob Chester, head of this laboratory," said the scientist, gesturing around the long corridors. "We've been at work documenting a peculiar phenomenon that has the potential to change everything we thought we knew about the world. It's best if we just show you what it's like." Dr. Chester motioned Jon and Karyn to follow him down the hallway, a short distance until they came to a small lecture hall. A young red-haired female assistant approached from the other direction. She was carrying a long case.

"Are we ready for the demonstration?" the assistant asked.
"Indeed we are, Lisa," Chester replied, leading Jon and Karyn in. "Basically, what we're dealing with is what has been up until very recently, a largely untapped area of human ability." He motioned Lisa to the front table.
While Lisa took off her coat and laid down on the table, Dr. Chester took the case to a side table and opened it, revealing a longsword in its sheath. Jon and Karyn stared with concern.
Swiftly, Dr. Chester drew the sword, stepped back to the front table, and sliced Lisa right through her waist.
"Dude!" Jon gasped, forgetting for a moment that these events had resulted from a very particular wish he had made earlier. He relaxed when he noticed there was no blood. Somehow, instead of Lisa's guts spilling out, there was just skin covering the cut.

Letting out a silly giggle, Lisa pulled her upper half to sit up, while her legs went to the floor and began walking around.
"This phenomena has so far defied any attempt to explain it with conventional physics, though it does follow certain rules of its own. As much as it has pained my scientific mind to admit it, I can only say that it is magic," Dr. Chester said apologetically.

"What did you to bring us here for?" asked Jon.
"Mainly to see how effective our current model is for teaching this ability to someone else-- and I'm interested in seeing how a couple of random people handle it in their daily lives," explained Chester. See, once you develop the knack, you can produce an astounding variety of effects with nothing but your own body, to say nothing about doing things to people, animals, and objects around you. Lisa, if you would just let your imagination go wild?"

"Can't you just do something on yourself?" Karyn wondered.
"Certainly," Chester replied, taking the sword and plunging it down his throat. But instead of letting it sit there and pulling it out like a typical sword swallower, he pushed it all the way in, the grip disappearing into his mouth. The blade seemed to have completely vanished inside the doctor, as he went on talking as if he did this six times a day. "However, I find it's more fun, generally, to watch the lovely young assistant do it." He nodded to Lisa.

Lisa's legs had walked back to the table, where she reconnected her top half, except it was backwards.
"Are you two over eighteen?" Chester asked.
"Yeah," Jon answered truthfully. "Why?"
"I'll take your word for it. See, Lisa here is actually my age. Ever since she had the power to remake her body however she wanted, she's been quite proud of her looks and does a very arousing adult magic show out in Las Vegas during the summer."
"You mean she's immortal?" Karyn wondered.
Lisa said nothing, only smiling as she began stripping to her underwear, showing that she really was ass backwards. Seamlessly, right below her stomach was her butt.
"Well... yeah, I guess. Her, me, the rest of the staff, anyone else out there with this power. Me, I like looking distinguished, but on the inside I've wound back the clock the same as her."
Lisa held onto her hips and twisted. A weird crack sounded throughout the room, and now her legs and hips faced in the correct direction. She paused to give a look to Dr. Chester.
"I'm done talking for the moment, go on," Chester urged.

Lisa raised her arms up and closed her eyes, and suddenly her body exploded into a mess of sand and dust, covering the furniture and floor around where she was.
"That one's new." Dr. Chester raised an eyebrow, before all in the room began coughing and rubbing their eyes. "And maybe best done at a safer distance."

Suddenly, one of the fluorescent lights in the ceiling began flickering. It began to sag until it touched the floor, still flickering as it began to twist and coil up. Still lit up, the strange coiling fluorescent tube disconnected from the ceiling and took a feminine human form, all seemingly made out of one continuous coil of light. The wondrous creature remained for several seconds, doing a few poses, before the light dimmed and the coiled fluorescent tube swelled and merged until it looked more like Lisa if she were formed out of solid glass. And she was noticeably without clothing.

Karyn was about to admonish Jon for staring, but she found herself staring as well.
"Ah, there's a light missing now, maybe you should bring it back for the janitors," Dr. Chester suggested. "And maybe you could get my sword back."
The glass Lisa sat down on the table and transformed back into flesh, spreading her legs wide.
"I'm not sure she needed to go that far," Chester sighed.
Slowly, with several contractions, the missing fluorescent tube emerged from Lisa's vagina. She waited until she had pushed it more than halfway out before she took it in her hands and pulled it out. Leaning it up against the wall in the corner, she returned to the table and got into position again. This time, the sword came out.

"So, uh... how do you teach it to us?" Jon asked after a long silence.

"You develop a sensitivity to magic by being exposed to it. The best way to start is to just have a trick performed on you directly. Then you try to do something yourself. It helps to start with using a tool that's been used by an experienced magician, or to try to influence a spell in progress that's being cast on you."
