"Oh my god, Karyn! I'm really my grandfather!" Jon yelled out in surprise.
It seemed unlikely, but Karyn knew it was true. All this time her best friend was really an old man and she didn't even know it.
"Wait a minute," Jon said. "I can't be my own grandfather. How can I have memories of being with him and be him at the same time?"
"The stone said that it's true. I'm sure it can't lie," Karyn said.
Jon looked down at the stone and wondered. Could it lie? It obviously wasn't a normal object. But, maybe Jon was trying to question the truth he now knew. That his grandfather really didn't die, that he just turned himself into Jon. Part of him wanted to know the details of what had happened, but another part of him didn't. This was his life. Not his grandfather's.
"Jon?" Karyn asked. "What are you gonna do now?"
