Before Jon could reply, Mikey came in and tried to sit at the computer, only to be pushed away. "Hey, I was gonna play with Jon!" he protested.
Zoe sighed, pointing at Jon. "I just did, Mikey. You're not gonna mess up what I did with him. You can play with him in a while, okay? Go do something else," she said, pushing him out of the room by the collar. "So, Jon, let's go to the Pit."
He stared at her for a moment, not fully understanding her at first. "The... oh... are you sure, Zoe? I've never been there before, and I didn't think you'd wanna go with your brother." The word sounded strange to his own ears, being spoken by such a feminine, sultry voice.
It was her turn to stare, as she said, "Jon, are you okay? You sure as hell don't look like my brother right now, or you've got the biggest tits of any brother in the world. Come on, the fact that you're even considering it means you're willing to go, and you'd fit in just fine. Look at you. You're a goth goddess."
Looking down at himself, he blushed and smiled despite himself. "I guess you're right. Thank you, Zoe. I will go with you. Shall we?" he - she - asked, holding her hand out and beaming at Zoe. Zoe took it in her own and they walked out of the house together, to Jon's car. Several of the neighbors stared but Zoe flipped them off, to Jon's astonishment. She got in the driver's seat, telling Jon to get in the passenger's. "But you're not old enough to drive, Zoe."
"Doesn't mean I haven't. Do you want to try driving in that outfit?" Zoe asked, snorting. She sighed and got in the passenger's seat, sitting down and swinging her legs in and automatically adjusting her dress. "So what's your new name?" Zoe asked as they drove off.
"Astrid," she replied immediately, as if she'd known it her whole life. "My name is Astrid."
Zoe nodded, smiling. "Fitting. Have you noticed how you're acting now, Astrid?" She shook her head, confused. Hadn't she always been like this? "Didn't think so. You're gonna be a hit at the club. The guys will be all over you, and even a few of the girls..." she trailed off, laughing at Astrid's sudden bright blush.
