Jon awoke suddenly as if his prior wishes were nothing but a dream. He glanced at his clock and say it was just another day for school. Begrudgingly, he got up and got ready for the day. His mind was still filled with all sorts of knowledge about magic, but it seemed to be slipping away from his grasp as time went on. He glance at the stone partway through changing and thought that there might have been a flaw with that wish. He didn't know why anymore, but he assumed that there was something with that stone that he understood for a brief moment before it vanished from his brain altogether.

He sighs. "Was it really just my imagination?"

"Jon!" His mother calls out to him. "If you don't eat now you'll be late for the bus!"

"Okay!" He answers her. "I should just get ready like I always do." He says to himself as he finishes getting ready and heads downstairs.

He tries to be cautious of his surroundings just in case something did actually change. The more he looked around, however, the more he failed to see anything out of the ordinary. His mind relaxes a bit as he prepares his usual breakfast of toast and jam. His mind kept drifting back to the stone though as he ate, so he couldn't be as calm as he wanted to.

"It's too powerful to leave here." He mumbles to himself. "I have to take it with me."

He scarfs down his breakfast and runs back upstairs to search for something to store the stone in. It takes him ten minutes before he comes across a box that would both fit the stone and fit in his pockets. By that time, he could see the bus rounding the corner of the block next to his. He knew at that point that he didn't have more than another ten minutes to get to the bus stop at the opposite block of his house. Hurriedly, he stuck the box in his pocket and grabbed his bags as he ran out the door.

"Have a great day!" His mom calls out to his back.

"I will!" He yells without turning slowing down his sprint.

---- Leon's Perspective ----

I arrived in a new place. A place both familiar and strange to me. I turn to my companions who followed me. Three in total, including myself, although one of them isn't really here in body. I glance around me to make sure that there aren't any people out and about. I nod to Sakura once I make sure there would be no prying eyes. She complies with a simple nod and activates the device on the glove on her right hand. A holographic image of a human appears on the screen. I motion for her to be quiet and she silently nods. I have no idea who could still be listening in on us, so I'd like to be safe than sorry. Fortunately, because I'm part robotic I can change my language to one only she would hear and she can translate it to Sakura who has a Bluetooth earpiece on her left ear connected to her glove.

Maybe being overly cautious I still speak in a quiet tone myself. "What's the situation?"

Astred just glares at me. "Really? If you were going to do that, we don't have to speak quietly."

I shrug my shoulders. "Old habits die hard?"

She just sighs. "From what I can tell, our target isn't here in this world, but I am sensing an overwhelming high amount of magical energy."

I raise an eyebrow, "Wait you mean it's magical energy from our world?"

"It's not out of the question, but the well hidden Reality Warping Device we found was poorly constructed, so I can't tell if this is the past or a different world entirely. It also will only sustain one more journey."

I groan. "That means we should find the source of the magic energy and either get rid of it or just go back."

Sakura tilts her head at our exchange. "Why would this magic be a problem?"

"In our world we had all sorts of ways to suppress overly high magical energies. So if something like that is here in this world, then it could lead to an uncontrollable mess with that much magic energy."
"Oh, yeah that could be a problem."

"Hold on." Astred interrupts. "It seems the energy is moving towards us. This could be a good opportunity to discern and watch what this magical energy can do."

"Very well." I nod. "Let's get a move on."

Sakura mounts the extremely gaudy cyclist bike that anyone else would think is a motorbike and follows me toward the source of the magic. I glance back to make sure Astred isn't visible and continue at my breakneck pace.
