"Jeff, what happened to you? You look just like me," Melissa said, still staring at her doppelganger.
"Jeff? Who's Jeff? Melissa, you know my name is Melissa. And I know I look exactly like you. What's your point?"
"So you think it's perfectly normal that you look like me and even have my name?" the real Melissa asked.
"Well, of course," her doppelganger said. "I'm you. Have you already forgotten what that weirdo scientist friend of yours did? You must be in shock or something."
Melissa was confused. She didn't have a friend who was a scientist, weirdo or otherwise.
Seeing the look of non-understanding on Melissa's face, her doppelganger began to explain.
